Jessica Semsarian
Graduate-at-Law
Jessica joined the team at Hazelbrook Legal as a Graduate at Law in February 2024. Jessica is focused on developing her legal skills across Hazelbrook’s core practice areas, as well as fostering meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.
During her time at university Jessica immersed herself in various opportunities to develop her legal knowledge and skills. She undertook a volunteer placement at the HIV/AIDS Legal Centre (HALC), where she was exposed to a diverse range of legal matters. She also participated in the International Law Clinic at ANU where she prepared a legal research report for Eleos Justice, a Monash University-based initiative, on the connection between the death penalty and torture under international law. Finally, Jessica participated in an internship with Berlin-based NGO WikiRate to help create a framework for assessing the modern slavery disclosures of companies in accordance with disclosure requirements.
Jessica is a graduate from the Australian National University where she completed a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bachelor of International Security Studies.
Outside of the law, Jessica’s interests include travelling, cooking and spending time in nature.
