Ready to put theory into practice?
A clerk at Hazelbrook will experience what it’s like to work within a fast-paced corporate team where you will experience a broad range of practice areas including: corporate contracting; IP and data privacy; commercial litigation; funds (VC and PE), financial services and regulatory; and mergers and acquisitions.

This program is most suitable for students in their penultimate year of law. However, we are willing to consider those in their final year.

We are seeking a Legal PA to support our growing leadership team, as well as provide wider support to the whole team. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, good at problem-solving, value discretion and who can be trusted to deliver high quality work. This role will suit individuals who have excellent attention to detail, who like to take responsibility for their output and who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Partners / Seniors
- Full responsibility for inbox management, including all filing.
- Proactive handling of correspondence directed to Partners (coordinate further actions, draft replies etc).
- Have responsibility for calendar and diary management, including coordinating meetings, making travel arrangements, booking venues and detailed travel itineraries.
- Proof reading emails, drafting responses and other relevant correspondence and documentation.
- Filenote management
- Assist with receipts, expenses
Matter Management
- Document and contract production, formatting, reviewing and finalising (including document protection).
- Assist with general administrative duties for the wider team, document production, formatting, review and finalising.
- Assist with other functions essential to the efficient running of matters.
- Matter life cycle – assist Partners as required, and working closely with support team to meet deliverables.
Business Development
- Prepare proposals, reviewing documents and drafting responses to clients.
- Coordinate and assist with BD activities
- Assist with award submissions
- Research for BD activities (prepare briefing notes prior to new client meetings)
- Assist to maintain BD trackers
Learning and Development
- Assist seniors to meet professional obligations, update forms, book courses etc.
Billing
- Assist Partners with billing management.
- Work closely with the wider support team to manage team deliverables.
Office administration assistance including:
- Office management tasks.
- Assist practice manager where required.
