Lucy Adamson

Lucy is a highly experienced corporate and transactional lawyer with broad experience acting on and advising some of the largest businesses and transactions in Australia and regionally. Lucy also has a particular focus on advising clients on funds, financial services and regulatory matters.

Lucy has worked her whole career at global and national top tier firms in Sydney including Clayton Utz, Allen & Overy and Gilbert & Tobin, and most recently has experience in the legal practice of one of the big 4 consultancy firms.

She brings to Hazelbrook a depth and breadth of experience from working with a broad spectrum of clients, from big banks and insurers, to fund management entities, superannuation funds and fintech start-ups.

Lucy has strong commercial advisory skills due to experience on large global transactions, but also has very strong technical legal analytical skills as a result of her regulatory advisory work. She also has extensive experience engaging with regulators and other stakeholders, across a range of subject matters including regulatory reform (eg. DDO, Add-on insurance, breach reporting) and payments regulation, licensing, derivatives, AML and privacy.

Lucy loves time away with her children, camping and caravanning and loves to play sport including weekend soccer.

Lucy holds a Bachelor of Social Science / Bachelor of Laws (Political Science and Government / Law) – Hons I from Macquarie University and is a member of the Law Council of Australia Financial Services Committee.
