Emalee Walker

Emalee brings dedication and enthusiasm to Hazelbrook Legal, and is passionate about developing positive working relationships to foster the best outcome for clients and colleagues alike. Emalee enjoys identifying and analysing both opportunities and risks for clients, and focuses on producing fair, strategic advice and contracts that achieves a client’s goals efficiently and effectively.

Emalee holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts-Psychology from Macquarie University, and has expanded her learning through studying Master’s level Business Law in a Global Context in Montréal, Canada. She has varied legal experience working across multiple practice areas, demonstrating her desire to learn, ability to adapt to new environments as well as the ability to think critically when approaching matters.

At Hazelbrook, Emalee’s skills and knowledge in corporate law and financial services have developed with a particular focus on tailored commercial contracts, drafting company’s constituent documents, mergers and acquisitions for small and medium sized businesses, and financial services including licensing and funds. Emalee approaches matters balancing the individual commercial complexities with clear legal guidance to support clients in their business needs.

Emalee is interested in language and is an effective communicator, having studied linguistics and French, and has held roles of Editor-in-Chief of her university’s law society publication, and Policy Editor for Young Australians in International Affairs. These experiences honed her communication skills including her ability to adapt her communication style and content to varied audiences.

Outside of the law, Emalee’s interests include training aerial dance, reading and travelling.
